(Jr.) QC Analyst

We are looking for a (Jr.) QC Analyst to join our friendly and dedicated team. As our new (Jr.) QC Analyst, you will be part of the Quality team and will report to the Quality Manager. You will perform routine and non-routine analytical testing.

What is the purpose of your role?

Analytical testing is a key aspect for our novel food production and you will be in the lead to interpret test results, compare these to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.

What are your key responsibilities?

Day-to-day running of QC laboratories and quality related documentation.

Internal/external analytical testing and QC release of raw materials, in-process, product and stability samples.

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in support of R&D activities.

What else will you do?

Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in-process, product, stability and/or research samples.

Testing may be included but is not limited to analytical techniques i.e. HPLC, LC-MS/MS, ELISA, LLE, SPE, protein extraction.

Work closely with the Bioprocess Development team performing a wide variety of tasks supporting R&D activities.

Review, approve and report on generated data for QC release.

Perform daily/weekly calibrations/monitoring of analytical equipment.

Participation in day-to-day running of QC laboratories (maintain laboratory supplies, cleaning, waste disposal and coordinating equipment servicing and maintenance).

Write, review and update SOPs, assay qualification documentation, QC reports and Certificates of Analysis, in addition to more general record keeping and document organization.

What are we looking for?

BSc in Analytical or Chemistry Science related discipline or equivalent.

1 – 3 years of relevant work experience.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Experience with working under a quality system and the regulatory requirements in food/pharma.

Experience working within a regulated scientific laboratory e.g. GMP/GLP, ISO or UKAS, would be a plus.
