Junior Lab Technician

We are currently looking for a Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate would be able to start very soon. We have a preference for local people.

What is the purpose of the role? 

You will support research and development activities in daily operations, perform technical troubleshooting of equipment, and documentation of raw data.

What are your key responsibilities?

Keeping our labs organized based on 5s principles and participate in the daily lab duty. Learn how to structurally follow SOPs to keep our quality standards high.

Making sure reusable lab equipment is cleaned throughout the day by operation of the autoclave and glassware washer.

Maintain stock levels of glassware, equipment and supplies in our Mosa Meat's facilities.

What else will you do?

Learning how to and participating in a rota for preparation of medium, buffers, solutions and aliquots for various sizes of experiments. 

Perform routine activities in small to large scale upstream and downstream processes, such as sampling and monitoring processes.

Primary data processing of the experiments you support. 

Supporting the scientific team with equipment preparation and their set up for experiments.


Our ideal future team member

We are looking for a technician with vocational training. (Minimum NL:MLO, BE:A2 level).

Experience with aseptic technique is highly preferred. 

Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques is a plus.

Eye for detail and passionate about organization.

Ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

A hardworking, flexible, and dedicated team-player. Willingness to work, occasionally, outside of a 9-5 schedule, including potential weekend work.

Excellent in documentation and registration.

Good verbal and written English communication skills.

Clear communication.
