What is the purpose of the role?
You will support scientists in the Cell Biology team in daily operations, performing technical troubleshooting of equipment, and documentation of raw data.
What are your key responsibilities?
Assisting in maintaining the organization of our lab and coming up with new ways to organize things.
Preparation of medium, buffers, solutions and aliquots of various sizes for experiments.
Perform some level of routine aseptic tissue culture work.
Perform molecular biology tasks such as PCRs or genomic DNA extractions.
Primary data processing of the experiments you supported.
Keeping an eye on proper equipment preparation, maintenance, and calibration.
Our ideal future team member
A laboratory or cell culture technician by vocation (not necessarily with a University education, HBO desirable).
Previous experience with aseptic technique.
Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture techniques is highly desirable.
Intrinsically motivated to consistently upgrade their skills.
Eye for detail and passionate about organization.
Ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
A hardworking, flexible, and dedicated team-player. Willingness to work, occasionally, outside of a 9-5 schedule, including potential weekend work.
Excellent in documentation and registration.
As our team communicates primarily in English, good verbal and written English communication skills are essential.
